The flight was long
But eventually I arrived in Rio
My accomodation was far away from the fitness and pleasure beaches of Copacobana and Ipanema
Rio is a BIG city
For safety most runs were within my apartment compound
But occasionally I could run home from work
And occasionally I got to run along the beach too
And the scenery nearby was not the most interesting…
The hills in the clouds that I wanted to run up, but couldn’t
The IBC/MPC
The road from the Olympic Park
Get to run past the Athletes Villiage
More main road
Some interesting local wildlife
I only managed to run once a week but the sightseeing (when we could do some) was awesome!
